Shandy Brown, CPC

Shandy graduated from Fall River High School and then attended Butte College as a nursing major.  After some time at Butte, she realized that she was more intrigued by the business side of the health care industry and switched to administration.  She attended the US career Institute and received her certificate as a Medical Billing and Coding Specialist.  After completion of this program, she took the Certified Professional Coder exam through AAPC, and became a CPC.

Shandy currently resides in the town of Fall River Mills.  She is married and has five children, of which only two are left in the house, while the rest have graduated and moved on.  She has been working in the medical billing and coding field for the last 8 years and has been with Shasta Cascade Health Centers for the past three years.  She enjoys the FQHC world and loves working for a company that does not allow your ability to pay to come in front of great health care.

Shandy's kids keep her beyond busy with sports, which is what she  enjoys doing the most in her free time.  Her family are avid travelers and enjoy exploring our country as much as possible.  When not traveling to watch football or basketball, they are traveling to see different parks, and areas of the United States that they have never explored before.
