Enhanced Care Management (ECM) is a free Medi-Cal benefit designed to provide extra support for individuals facing complex health and life challenges.

 

Through ECM, eligible patients are connected with a dedicated care team that works closely with them to coordinate medical care, mental health support, substance use treatment, and social services like housing, food, and transportation.

Rather than treating just symptoms, ECM focuses on the whole person—meeting patients where they are, building trust, and helping them navigate the healthcare system with confidence and support.
