Milt Shrader

Milt was born and raised in Ravenna, Nebraska, where he graduated from high school and then earned a BA in Education.  He obtained the rank of Eagle Scout, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.  Milt worked as a finish carpenter and then taught high school for two years.  He married Mary Beth and they started on the path to raise four children.  They moved to California and Milt worked with the US Government Bureau of Reclamation as a Safety Engineer.  He completed postgraduate work in Safety Engineering at USC and he is currently registered as a Professional Safety Engineer with the State of California.

 

Milt retired in 1997 after 33 years with the Bureau of Reclamation as the Regional Safety Engineer.  Milt and Mary Beth moved to McCloud where he designed and built their home on four acres south of town.  He has been a member of the SCHC board since January 2014.  In addition, Milt is the Board President of the McCloud Cemetery Association and is an active member of the Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.  He enjoys taking his Brittany Spaniel, Jesse Jane, hunting and working on projects in my shop.
