Sarah Gilman-Short, MD
Family Medicine Specialist
Dr. Sarah Gilman-Short grew up in Redding, California, and attended UC Berkeley for her undergraduate studies where she received a bachelor’s degree in Comparative Literature. She went to medical school at Keck School of Medicine at USC in Los Angeles, and moved to Portland for her family medicine residency at Oregon Health and Sciences University. Although she loves the Pacific Northwest, after living in Portland for eleven years she felt called to be closer to her family in Redding and moved to Mount Shasta in the summer of 2021. She practices full spectrum family medicine, with particular interests in women’s health and gender-affirming care. She has spent extensive time studying Yoga and Ayurveda and integrates these modalities into her medical recommendations when appropriate. In her free time she enjoys hiking, mountain biking, skiing, and spending time with her family.
