Kim Orta, FNP

Family Nurse Practitioner

Hello, I'm Kim Orta, an experienced Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a rich background in primary care, urgent care, and substance abuse treatment. Recently, I made the transition to Siskiyou County from the picturesque Crescent City/Smith River area, where I contributed my expertise at Curry Medical Center in Brookings, Oregon. With licensure spanning California, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington, my commitment to delivering comprehensive healthcare remains steady.

Since earning my MSN from the University of Phoenix in 2017, I've continually pursued opportunities for professional growth and specialization. Notably, I completed two rigorous yearlong fellowships at UC Irvine, one focused on Psychiatry and the other on Addiction Medicine. These comprehensive trainings equipped me to address a diverse array of health conditions with compassion and expertise.

Throughout my career, I've cultivated a deep dedication to patient well-being, particularly in areas such as medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder. My tenures at institutions like Barton Community Health Center, Sutter Coast Hospital, Open Door Community Health Center, and more have honed my skills and solidified my commitment to exceptional care.

Outside of my professional pursuits, I find solace and rejuvenation in nature. You might catch me hiking, backpacking, kayaking, or surfing in my downtime. Additionally, I have a passion for dog training, photography, and gardening. Let's embark on a journey to prioritize your health together!
