James Proffitt MA, CHFP
Chief Executive Officer
Jim was born in San Francisco and holds an MA in Film Studies from National University and a BA in Political Science from the University of California at Berkeley. A part-time resident since 2008, he moved to McCloud full-time in 2014. He brings over 30 years of operational and financial management experience to his work at our clinics.
Jim achieved the Certified Healthcare Financial Professional credential from the Healthcare Financial Management Association in 2016. He served two years as Chief Financial Officer before being appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2017. Jim serves on the boards of SacValley MedShare and the McCloud Community Resource Network.
Jim is pleased to do his part to ensure that McCloud, Dunsmuir, and Mount Shasta have access to quality healthcare. He and his wife, Lisa, have four grown children, a grandson, five little white dogs, and an orange tabby. In his free time, Jim loves movies, music, and food. And wine.
